Day 1: Arrival

You will be picked up from the agreed place Kilimanjaro or Dar es Salaam International Airport, and transferred to your lodgings in Arusha on arrival.

Day 2: Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park

In the morning, after breakfast in your accommodation, we will pick you up and drive 130 kilometres on a tarmac road to Lake Manyara National Park. We arrive early enough for a morning game drive before a picnic lunch and an afternoon game drive. The park is home to tree-dwelling lions, hippos, elephants, zebra, buffalo, giraffes, Olive baboons, blue and vervet monkeys, warthog, and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded, including ground hornbills, roller, eagle owls, and much more.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, the route to Serengeti National Park is a game drive. Serengeti is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles or a pride of lions lazing in the shade.

Day 4: Full Day at Serengeti National Park

A full-day game drive in the park. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds, you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, and many birds. Your guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating hidden animals.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park - Olduvai Gorge - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we will take you on a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch. Later we depart for Ngorongoro Crater Rim via the prehistoric site at Olduvai George. This short stop at Olduvai Gorge is both exciting and enjoyable.

This is the famous archaeological site where the Leakey discovered remains of Australopithecus Homo habilis and Homo erectus. It has a fantastic landscape forged from the same tectonic forces which created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. Museum, a short lecture, and a walk down to where the remains were found fascinate everyone.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater tour - Tarangire National Park.

Breakfast at 06:00 to descend onto the crater floor for a fantastic game drive. The big five reside here: rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant. And many other species live in this incredible caldera, approximately 30,000 animals. Birds include flamingos on the soda lake, cranes, various kingfishers, ostrich, black kites, vultures, and more. Your lunch will be served at the picnic site at Ngoitoktok swamp, a hippo pool. After lunch, we continue game viewing, ascend to the crater rim, and drive to Tarangire National Park.

Day 7:Full Day at Tarangire National Park

The morning after breakfast, full-day game drive in Tarangire with a picnic lunch. Tarangire National Park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many migratory wildlife species return to the Tarangire River’s permanent waters. Vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and Oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rain, when they migrate again to good grazing areas.

Day 8: Tarangire - Kolo Irangi Painting - Dodoma Town

After breakfast, check out and drive to Tanzania’s capital city, Dodoma. On the way, we will view Kolo Irangi Rock Paintings. Halfway between Arusha and Dodoma, near the village of Kolo, are some of the finest examples of rock paintings in the world. These extraordinary paintings depict the animals and customs of the people at the time.

Day 9: Dodoma town- Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, we drive to Ruaha National Park via Mtera, a hydroelectric dam. Iringa is a charming if somewhat down-at-heel town at the heart of Tanzania’s tea industry. Market days bring forth an eclectic mix of expatriate wives dressed in pastel frocks shopping with their baskets and mingling with tribal people on their monthly trading spree. Expect to be in Ruaha park late evening for dinner and overnight.

Days 10: Full Day Game drives in Ruaha National Park

These game drives in Ruaha National Park are ideal for looking for roan and sable antelope. You will also see hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck, reedbuck, and buffalo as they venture to the river’s edge to drink. This attracts the attention of lions, leopards, hyenas, wild dogs, and jackals. Walking in the wilderness includes visiting one of Africa’s most important historical sites. There are many birds in the park, including Eurasia migrants that visit the park each year.

Days 11:Wilderness Walking safari & Night Game drives in Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, launch a walking trip in the wilderness with an armed ranger guide who will guide you on walking to get close to the animals, plants, fingerprints, and animals along the river for fine pictures. Come back to the hotel for hot lunch and relaxation. Evening leaves again for a sunset game drive. Early dinner at your accommodation, then leave for a night game drive from 8:00 pm to midnight. The night game drive will give you a chance to see night-active creatures.

Days 12:Another Full Day Game drives in Ruaha National Park

Morning and afternoon game drives in the Park. On any given day, Ruaha National Park has the potential to showcase a good number of bio diversities in just one-third of the park’s size.

From our experience within the Msembe and Jongomeru area, you might see the Silver Back Jackal, Elephants that walked into the camp, Hippos that foraged around the camp at night, African hunting dogs that trotted past our vehicle, a pride of 18 lions that were hunting, and the superb Lesser and Greater Kudus as well as rarely Roan and Sable Antelopes which can be seen at every southern section of the park. The park’s vegetation also boasts Palm, Fig, Tamarind, and Baobab trees that are uncommon in other parks. Over 1600 plant species and over 370 bird species are confirmed in the park.

Day 13: Ruaha - Udzungwa Mountains National Park

An early start with a game drives en route to Udzungwa Mountains National Park, passing the Ismail Stone Age Site. The evening relaxation is now well deserved.

Day 14: Walking in Udzungwa Park - Mikumi National Park

Breakfast in camp before taking a walk in this beautiful park. Enjoy and experience the stunning natural beauty of the park. Lunch in the bush, then exploring the area, visiting a picturesque waterfall and perhaps seeing the endemic red colobus monkey and beautiful scenery. Late afternoon we set off for Mikumi National Park and dinner at your lodgings.

Day 15: Full day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

Morning and afternoon game drives in the park. You will most likely see elephants, lions, wild dogs, zebras, hyenas, buffalo, wildebeest, eland, hartebeest, crocodiles, lizards, and other residents. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.

Day 16: Mikumi Park- Nyerere National Park

Depart to Nyerere National park, which was called Selous Game Reserve. The journey will take 6 hours due to road conditions over the Uluguru Mountains, across rivers, and through small local villages. You can see the game on the way too.

Day 18: Game drive and Boat Safari in Nyerere National Park

A half-day game drive in Selous. Evening leaves for a boat safari at Rufiji River. During this excursion, you can admire hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat at close range.

Day 19:Nyerere National Park- Dar es Salaam

There is an early morning game drive in the park and back to your lodgings for breakfast. We then check out and drive back to Dar es Salaam where you will arrive in the early afternoon. Check-in at your accommodation and have a short relaxation after a long safari trip in Tanzania.

Day 20: Back Home
