Itineraries
Day 1: Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park - Game Drive and River Boat Safari
Kick off your adventure by being picked up from your specified location in Zanzibar early in the morning by the driver from Kanuth Adventure Safaris. We’ll transfer you to Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled flight to Nyerere National Park, departing at 7:00 AM. Upon arrival at Mtemere Airstrip at 8:15 AM, you will be greeted by your dedicated driver-guide. Enjoy a short briefing about your safari while indulging in a packed breakfast. Afterwards, embark on a full-day game drive across the park, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife including buffalo, hippopotamus, African wild dogs, lions, eland, bushbuck, giraffe, impala, baboon, zebra, crocodiles, greater kudu, and possibly the elusive Sable antelope. The stunning landscape of Nyerere National Park will be your backdrop throughout the day. A delicious, packed lunch will be provided within the park as you continue your exploration until sunset. Afterward, transfer back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Wilderness Walking & Maasai Visit, Return to Zanzibar
Sunrise riverboat safari along the Rufiji River at 6:00 am. Witness hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat while cruising along the river that marks the park boundary and neighboring villages. After the safari boat, you’ll be transferred back to your lodge for a full breakfast. Then head to a Maasai Boma for a cultural tour. Learn about this vibrant community, their traditions, and enjoy traditional Maasai dance and songs. Afterward, return to your accommodation for hot lunch and relaxation until 15:00 when you depart for Mtemere Airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar, scheduled at 16:10 PM. Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport at 17:35 PM, your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel or preferred accommodation, marking the end of your memorable safari adventure.
