Itineraries
Day 1:Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park
You will have an early start from the agreed pick-up point in Dar and drive to Nyerere National Park. We packed lunch on the way to the reserve in the afternoon. You then embark on a boat safari on the amazing Rufiji River, where you will see hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive at Nyerere national Park
After breakfast, we set off for a full-day game drive in the Park. We take a picnic lunch to reach out further into the reserve without returning for lunch. So we can cover much ground, opening up the possibilities of seeing many of the following: elephants (the largest population in Tanzania), buffalos (also a large population), African wild dogs, lions, leopards, elands, bushbucks, giraffes, impalas, baboons, zebras, crocodiles, the greater kudus, and the rare Sable antelopes.

Day 3: Another Full Day Game Drive in Nyerere Park
Leave early for an extended game drive into different sectors of the park to vary sightings. Enjoy a bush breakfast during the morning drive while focusing on species not yet seen or following up on previous sightings. Return for lunch and downtime at camp, then take a late-afternoon drive to explore riverine areas, floodplains and woodlands with a sundowner stop. Dinner and a wildlife debrief; prepare for the walking safari the next day. Overnight at the same camp or lodge.

Day 4: Wilderness Walking Safari, Maasai Visit, Return to Dar es Salaam
Begin with a guided wilderness walking safari with an armed ranger to learn about tracks, plants, birds and smaller wildlife. Return to camp for a shower, late breakfast and packing. Visit a local Maasai/Mbunga community for a short village walk, cultural exchange and handicraft browsing with respectful photography guidelines. Depart Nyerere for Dar es Salaam by road transfer or transfer to the airstrip for a charter flight back and arrive in Dar es Salaam in the evening. End of safari.
