Itineraries

Day 1: Arrival at Saadani & Game Drive

Arrive at Saadani National Park in the morning and check into your lodge where the bush meets the ocean. Following a brief itinerary introduction with your expert guide, head out for a thrilling afternoon game drive to track elephants, giraffes, and resident predators across the park’s scenic plains. Conclude your first day relaxing at the lodge with stunning savannah sunset views and a delicious dinner.

Day 2: Wami River Boat Ride & Village Visit

Start your morning with an early breakfast before embarking on a scenic boat safari along the Wami River to spot massive hippos, crocodiles, and vibrant river bird species. After returning to the lodge for a late-morning rest, head out in the afternoon for an authentic village visit to immerse yourself in local Swahili culture and rural traditions. Conclude your day with an optional night game drive to track elusive nocturnal wildlife, or simply relax at the lodge and enjoy a beautiful coastal sunset.

Day 3: Nature Walks -Game drive & Departure

Begin your final morning with an early guided walking safari, exploring Saadani’s diverse flora and fauna on foot with an expert ranger to track smaller wildlife and unique coastal bird species. Return to the lodge in the late morning to check out and pack up before embarking on a final midday game drive out of the park. This last wildlife viewing stretch offers one more chance to spot resident herds before departing Saadani National Park for your next destination.
