Itineraries
Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Morogoro by SGR to Bondwa Peak
You will begin your adventure with an early morning pick-up from your agreed point in Dar es Salaam, followed by a transfer to the train station for your 06:00 am SGR train to Morogoro. Upon arrival in Morogoro at 07:40 am, you will be met by your Mountain Guide and transfer to the restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast, you will hike to bondwa peak (2,161 meters above sea level) about 5 hours go and return from the camp. You’ll have packed lunch at the viewpoint. At the summit you’ll have chance to see nice views of Morogoro town and nice landscape, after summit you’ll start hiking. Then you descend to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Choma Waterfall to Mikumi Park
After breakfast you’ll start hiking to the mountain which will take 1.5 hours to choma waterfall. On the way to the mountain, you’ll have chance to see nice views of Morogoro, beautiful flowers and Butterflies, beautiful landscape of uluguru mountains and you’ll meet nice and friendly people from the mountain (Luguru people). After arriving at the waterfall, you’ll have chance to swim in cool and clean waterfalls from the uluguru mountains. After visiting waterfall you’ll visit Luguru family where you’ll stop for hot lunch. After lunch deccend to the Sunset hotel where you will meet your driver guide ready to drive to Mikumi National Park. Driving will take 2 hours to get to the main gate, were you can register and start evening game drive until sunset when you will drive to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Wilderness walking and Game drive then drive to Morogoro
Early morning game drive at Mikumi National Park starts at 6:00am to 09:30 am to maximize your wildlife viewing opportunities. After returning for a hearty breakfast, then will set out on an exhilarating wilderness walking safari, one of Tanzania’s most immersive and exciting bush experiences. Guided by armed rangers for safety, the walk allows you to explore the natural environment up close, observing tracks, plants, and smaller wildlife that are often missed during vehicle game drives. Once the walk is complete you will start driving to Morogoro train station for your departure at 6:40 pm. Upon your arrival in Dar es Salaam, our staff will be there to assist you with transfers to the airport or hotel for further evening arrangements.
