Day 2-5: Ruaha National Park

Day 10: Full day Game Drive in Nyerere NP

After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park, exploring its vast wilderness and rich wildlife. The park is home to large herds of elephants and buffalo, as well as rare wild dogs, along with commonly seen species such as lions, giraffes, zebras, impalas, bushbucks, elands, kudus, baboons, crocodiles, and hippos.

Day 11: Full Day Boat Safari

Start your day by departing from your accommodation and launching your boat on the Rufiji River. Enjoy a light breakfast as you cruise along the tranquil waters, observing the lush landscapes and wildlife.

Throughout the morning, keep an eye out for hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species along the riverbanks. Mid-morning, take a short break at a riverbank clearing to refresh.

Continue your journey through Nzelekea, Siwandu, and Mzizi Mia lakes, which feed the Rufiji River. These lakes are great spots to see elephants and buffalo coming to drink.

Enjoy a picnic lunch on the boat or at a scenic spot along the shore. Afterwards, explore the lesser-travelled channels, rich in unique ecosystems and teeming with wildlife.

As the day comes to a close, make your way back to the launching point, enjoying the sunset and the chance to spot nocturnal animals. Return to your lodge or campsite, concluding a day filled with breathtaking wildlife encounters and natural beauty.

Day 12: Wilderness Walking Safari & Maasai Visit

Start before dawn for a 4–5 hour guided wilderness walking safari in Nyerere National Park, tracking birds and small-to-medium mammals through miombo woodlands and floodplains with expert ranger interpretation. Return to your lodge mid-day, then visit Mloka Maasai village in the late afternoon for a 2–3 hour cultural experience of song, dance, homestead tours, beadwork demonstrations and sunset views.
