Activities: Game Drives.
An early start is essential for this adventure. You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Moshi by your Kanuth Adventure Safaris guide, carrying a packed lunch for the day. From there, enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 120 km through rural landscapes and local villages before reaching Mkomazi National Park.
Upon arrival, your guide will handle the park registration formalities, and then your game drive will begin. As you venture through the vast savannah and acacia woodlands, keep your camera ready for sightings of giraffes, zebras, antelopes, wildebeests, and, with a bit of luck, elephants or lions roaming freely in their natural habitat.
For guests interested in a closer conservation experience, a visit to the Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary can be arranged at an additional cost. The sanctuary is a private, protected area dedicated to the reintroduction and protection of endangered black rhinos. Visiting it supports the Mkomazi Rhino Conservation Project and offers a rare opportunity to learn more about these magnificent animals and their protection efforts.
After a picnic lunch inside the park, continue your afternoon game drive, exploring different parts of this stunning wilderness with breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding mountains. As the sun begins to set, you’ll start your return journey back to Moshi, where your safari concludes with a drop-off at your hotel.
