Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi & Maasai Village Visit
- Depart early from Dar es Salaam heading west towards Mikumi National Park (approx. 4-5 hours).
- Upon arrival, check into your lodge or camp.
- In the late afternoon, visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions.
- Enjoy a relaxing evening and dinner at your accommodation.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive at Mikumi Park Park
- Begin your day with an early morning game drive to explore Mikumi’s diverse wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and hippos.
- Lunch at a picnic site or lodge inside/outside the park.
- Continue the game drive in the afternoon.
- Optional visit to the underground Mkata River Floodplain for birdwatching and wildlife viewing.
- Return to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Mikumi to Ruaha & Evening Game Drive
- Early breakfast, then transfer southwards to Ruaha National Park (approx. 6-7 hours).
- Check-in at a lodge or tented camp in Ruaha.
- After lunch, embark on an evening game drive to spot animals like elephants, antelopes, and predators.
- Enjoy sunset views and return to your camp for dinner.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drive at Ruaha National Park
- Early morning departure for a full-day game drive in Ruaha, known for its large populations of elephants, lions, cheetahs, and wild dogs.
- Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy in the park.
- Continue safari activities in different areas of Ruaha to maximize wildlife sightings.
- Return to camp in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Walking Safari & Night Game Drive in Ruaha
- Morning guided walking safari in the bush with an experienced ranger, focusing on tracking animals on foot and learning about flora and fauna.
- After lunch, relax at your camp.
- In the evening, go on a night game drive to observe nocturnal animals like owls, bush babies, and possibly nocturnal predators.
- Return to your camp for dinner.

Day 6: Ruaha to Udzungwa Mountains
- Early breakfast, then transfer from Ruaha to Udzungwa Mountains National Park (approx. 4-5 hours).
- Arrive at Udzungwa, check into a lodge or ecological camp.
- Spend the afternoon exploring the lush forests, waterfalls, and unique flora and fauna.
- Optional short hike or birdwatching.

Day 7: Udzungwa to Dar es Salaam
- Morning guided hike into Udzungwa’s scenic trails, hoping to see endemic birds, monkeys, and stunning waterfalls.
- After lunch, begin the transfer back to Dar es Salaam (approx. 4-5 hours).
- Arrive in Dar es Salaam in the evening, concluding your safari adventure.

- All Accommodation as per itinerary – N.B. accommodation mentioned in the itinerary is dependent on availability at the time of booking; alternatives of a similar class may be booked instead

- All transfers to and from agreed pick up and drop off points (e.g. Airport, Bus Station or hotel in town etc.)

- Safari base 4×4 Vehicle with open roof for game viewing (sometimes a saloon car or other SUV for excursions in town etc.)
