This delightful park, covering an area of 2,600 sq. km, was established in 1970, and it is the numerous baobab trees will initially catch your eye.

The Tarangire National Park derives its name from the Tarangire River, which rises in the highlands of central Tanzania and winds its way through the game sanctuary. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of Wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog,Hippo, and giant African elephants.

Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge predator population, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard.

As you head north, good sightings of giraffes, herds of buffalo and elephants can often be seen. You arrive in time for lunch at the lodge, and after lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive in the area. The wildebeest migration can usually be found in the Wagakuria area from August to October, depending on rainfall patterns. A long stretch of the

Mara River runs through the northern Serengeti National Park, and the Mara River provides the migration with its most challenging obstacle. Witnessing the frantic herds of Wildebeest crossing
