Early morning pick up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and depart to Mikumi National Park, where you will arrive in time for lunch; after lunch and a short break at the Camp, a trip to a Maasai village, where you can learn about the customs and traditions of the Maasai. The Maasai are a colourful tribe from Tanzania with a nomadic, traditional lifestyle.

The morning after breakfast, with packed lunch and full-day games, drive in the park. Mikumi’s vegetation includes woodland, swamp and grassland with two water holes, Mkata and Chamgore. Apart from the saddle-bill stork, hammer kop and malachite kingfisher, you will also find a monitor lizard and perhaps a python inhabiting the pools. After lunch, proceeds with afternoon game drives in the park home to Elephant, Lion, Wild dog, Zebras, Hyena, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Eland Hartebeest, Crocodile, Lizard and other residents. Evening leave the park and drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast in your accommodation, collect your packed lunch, and drive 5 minutes to Udzungwa Mountain gate to walk in this beautiful park. Enjoy and experience the stunning natural beauty of the park—a chance to see primates in this rainy forest. You may see the Mangabei and Udzungwa red colobus monkeys if you are lucky. After lunch, swim the Sanje waterfalls, then walk down to the village, ready to transfer back to Dar es Salaam, where you will arrive late in the evening.
