Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Depart from Arusha in the morning and embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, a wilderness famed for its iconic baobab trees and sprawling savannahs. Upon arrival, you will dive straight into immersive game drives, tracking the park’s legendary massive elephant herds, prides of lions, and a rich variety of plains wildlife. Spend the day exploring the vibrant river loops where animals gather, before heading to your lodge or tented camp inside or near Tarangire to unwind, enjoy dinner, and spend the night surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the African bush.

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
Begin your day with a morning game drive through Tarangire, catching the wildlife at its most active as the early sun hits the majestic baobab trees. Afterward, bid farewell to the park and travel westward towards the legendary Serengeti National Park, enjoying a scenic journey filled with breathtaking panoramic views and cultural stops along the way. Upon arriving at the boundless plains of the Serengeti, check into your camp or lodge to unwind, relax, and soak in the timeless atmosphere of Africa’s most famous wilderness.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti
Set out on an early-morning game drive to witness the wilderness come alive, catching predators on the move and herbivores grazing in the cool dawn light. For a truly unforgettable perspective, choose to begin your morning with an optional hot air balloon safari (available at an additional cost), drifting silently over the endless plains as the sun rises, followed by a champagne bush breakfast. Spend the rest of the day continuing to explore different areas of the vast Serengeti, tracking the Great Migration and searching for elusive leopards and cheetahs hidden among the kopjes.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Upon arrival, the itinerary transitions to an evening of relaxation along the steep ridges of the Ngorongoro Crater rim, providing premium panoramic viewpoints to scan the caldera floor for early wildlife activity before checking into your lodge.

Wrap up your day in the evening by relaxing along the shores of Lake Eyasi as you watch the sunset.

Day 7: Lake Eyasi to Arusha via Mto wa Mbu
Start your morning transit out of the Lake Eyasi basin, routing through the multicultural hub of Mto wa Mbu. The itinerary features a dedicated stop to navigate local tribal markets and experience community-led cultural tourism activities. Following these cultural excursions, finish the overland drive back to Arusha, reaching the city in the late afternoon or evening.
