3-Day Itinerary From Dar es Salaam
Activities: Boat Safari at The Great Rufiji River, Full Day Game Drives, Wilderness Walking Safari.
We will pick you up from Dar es Salaam port and transfer you to the Nyerere National Park. The journey will take you about 3-4 hours, depending on the road conditions. Afterwards, you will be transferred to your lodge for a hot lunch and some relaxation. At 4:00 pm, embark on a boat safari along the Rufiji River,
where you can observe hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. This safari will take place inside the park. After sunset, you will be taken back to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will embark on a full-day game drive designed to give you ample time to explore the vast landscapes and rich wildlife of Nyerere National Park. A picnic lunch will be provided to enjoy at a scenic spot during your exploration. Throughout the day, you can expect to encounter a diverse range of animals such as buffalo, hippos, wild dogs, lions, elands, bushbucks, giraffes, impalas, baboons, zebras, crocodiles, greater kudus, and the rare sable antelope. The park’s scenery is truly remarkable, offering a blend of forests, open plains, wetlands, and river systems that support incredible biodiversity. Once daylight fades, you will return to your lodge for dinner and a restful night.

After early morning call breakfast, you will set out on an exhilarating wilderness walking safari, one of Tanzania’s most immersive and exciting bush experiences. Guided by armed rangers for safety, the walk allows you to explore the natural environment up close, observing tracks, plants, and smaller wildlife that are often missed during vehicle game drives. Once the walk is complete, you will return to camp for a full and relaxing breakfast before preparing for your cultural excursion. Later in the morning, you will travel to a Maasai Boma, where you will have the opportunity to learn about the daily life, traditions, and cultural practices of the Maasai community. This visit also offers you the chance to join in their traditional dances, creating a memorable cultural interaction. After we start driving back for a hot lunch and shower, then leaving the area and start driving back to Dar es Salaam where the tour will end up at the agreed point.
