We are a couple from Copenhagen who went on a wonderful day trip to Mikumi National Park in febr 2013 with the guide Michael. We had booked well in advance and made changes along the way before arriving in Tanzania, Kanuth was very kind to accommodate all our wishes and had great advice and responded promptly to any inquiry prior to the day trip via email. The day trip went smoothly as Michael picked us up right on time at 5 am at our hotel and after an interesting 4-5 hour drive out of Dar Es Salaam watching Tanzanians in the city and countryside wake up, we were at the park and saw giraffes, zebras, crocs, hippos, redbacks, monkeys, storks, elephants etc…all but the lions, even if Michael did his very best to try and locate them they just didn’t feel like coming out that day. It was amazing nonetheless and Michael was so knowledgable about all the animals. We were back in Dar Es Salaam around 9 pm, exhausted, we had a fantastic day and a memorable experience, especially thanks to Michael who was incredibly patient and had lots of humour and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the wildlife and get some great pictures.
