For the few intrepid souls who ever make it there, Katavi provides a trilling taste of East Africa as it must have been a century ago. This is a true Wilderness and remote this is why it sees relatively few visitors providing a huge bonus that is little chance one will share the park with anyone else.
Katavi National Park is Tanzania’s third largest park ,sprawls in magnificent isolation across the country remote Southern western plains, within a truncated arm of the Rift Valley that terminates in the brooding expanse of Lake Rukwa. The park is also encompasses the Katuma River and season Lake Katavi and Lake Chada.
