Day 1: Arrival
Pick clients from Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer them to your lodgings in Arusha.
Day 2: Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park
In the morning after breakfast in your accommodation, we pick you up and drive 130 kilometers on a tarmac road to Lake Manyara National Park. We arrive early enough for a morning game drive before a picnic lunch and an afternoon game drive. The park is home to tree-dwelling lions, hippo, elephants, zebra, buffalo, giraffes, Olive baboons, blue and vervet monkeys, warthog, and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded including ground hornbills, roller, eagle owl, and much more.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, the route to Serengeti National Park is a game drive in itself. Serengeti is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequaled for its natural beauty and scientific value. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles or a pride of lions lazing in the shade.
Day 4: Full Day at Serengeti National Park
A full-day game drive in the park. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, and many birds. Your guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating hidden animals.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park - Olduvai Gorge - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, we take you on a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch. Later we depart for Ngorongoro Crater Rim via the prehistoric site at Olduvai George. This short stop at Olduvai Gorge is both interesting and enjoyable. This is the famous archeological site where the Leakey’s discovered remains of Australopithecus Homo habilis and Homo erectus. It has an amazing landscape forged from the same tectonic forces, which created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. Museum, a short lecture, and a walk down to the site where the remains were found fascinates everyone.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater tour - Tarangire National Park.
Breakfast at 06:00 to descend down onto the crater floor for an amazing game drive. The big five reside here: rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant. And many other species live in this wonderful caldera, approximately 30,000 animals altogether. Birds include flamingo on the soda lake, cranes, various kingfisher, ostrich, black kite, vultures, and more. Your lunch will be served at the picnic site at Ngoitoktok swamp, a hippo pool. After lunch, we continue game viewing and later ascend up to the crater rim and drive to Tarangire National Park.
Day 7:Full Day at Tarangire National Park
The morning after breakfast, full day game drive in Tarangire with picnic lunch. Tarangire National Park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and Oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rain when they migrate again to good grazing areas.
Day 8: Tarangire - Kolo Irangi Painting - Dodoma Town
After breakfast then check out and drive to Tanzania’s capital city which is Dodoma. On the way, we will view Kolo Irangi Rock Paintings. Halfway between Arusha and Dodoma near the village of Kolo are some of the finest examples of rock paintings in the world. These extraordinary paintings depict the animals and customs of the people at the time.
Day 9: Dodoma town- Ruaha National Park
After breakfast, we drive to Ruaha National Park via Mtera a hydroelectric dam. Iringa is a charming, if somewhat down-at-heel town, which lies at the heart of Tanzania’s tea industry. Market days bring forth an eclectic mix of expatriate wives dressed in pastel frocks shopping with their baskets and mingling with tribal people on their monthly trading spree. Expect to be in Ruaha park late evening for dinner and overnight.
Days 10: Full Day Game rives in Ruaha National Park
These game drives in Ruaha National Park, are ideal for looking for roan and sable antelope. You will also see hippo, crocodile, waterbuck, reedbuck, and buffalo as they venture to the river’s edge to drink. This, of course, attracts the attention of lions, leopards, hyenas, wild dogs, and jackals. Walking in the wilderness includes a visit to one of Africa’s most important historic sites. There are many birds in the park including Eurasia migrants that visit the park each year.
Days 11:Wilderness Walking safari & Night Game drives in Ruaha National Park
After breakfast launch a walking trip in the wilderness accompanied by an armed ranger guide who will guide you on walking to get close to the animals, plants, fingerprints, and animals along the river for fine pictures. Come back to the hotel for hot lunch and relaxation. Evening leaves again for a sunset game drive. Early dinner at your accommodation, then leave again for a night game drive which starts at 8:00 pm to midnight. The night game drive will give you a chance to see night-active creatures.
Days 12:Another Full Day Game drives in Ruaha National Park
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Park. On any given day, Ruaha National Park has the potential to showcase a good number of biodiversities in just one-third of the park size. From our experience within the Msembe and Jongomeru area you might see the Silver Back Jackal, Elephants that walked into the camp, Hippos that foraged around the camp at night, African hunting dogs that trotted past our vehicle, a pride of 18 lions that were hunting, and the superb Lesser and Greater Kudus as well as rarely Roan and Sable Antelopes which cab be seen at every southern section of the park. The vegetation of the park also boasts Palm, Fig, Tamarind, and Baobab trees that are not commonly seen in other parks. There are over 1600 plant species and over 370 bird species confirmed in the park.
